In 2010, ASUBIO PHARMA CO. LTD. took a step forward as a more radical drug discovery corporation. At ASUBIO, our goal is to fulfill unmet therapeutic needs through the creation of groundbreaking new medicines. “Creating world-first medicines to cure the incurable.” We will press forward with the creation of first-in-class medicines that realize the hopes of patients and people across the globe.

The new ASUBIO began with some major innovations. The first of these was a reorganization of our business. In partnership with Daiichi Sankyo group companies, we have established a framework that specializes in the core functions of drug discovery, from exploratory research to proof of concept (POC) acquisition. In addition to this, we have integrated all of our domestic operations in newly built facilities at Kobe Biomedical Innovation Cluster, unifying research, development, planning, and management functions.

At the heart of Japan’s preeminent medical and pharmaceutical industrial cluster, we will, through the connection of medical needs with cutting-edge science, fulfill our vital mission of developing not only our own business, but also the entire drug discovery community, delivering new medicines to the world from Kobe.

We have also taken advantage of our relocation to make major changes to our employees’ working style. Our company comprises more than 200 like-minded individuals. Bringing together a select few of the best and brightest calls for an organizational framework that allows each of our employees to exhibit their unique abilities to the fullest. We have built a drug discovery system that is flexible yet strong. With a horizontal Project system to accelerate research and development and a vertical Faculty system to extend individual expertise and talents, our system directly connects people and work to management and enables us to respond to any changes and we encounter.
