| SUN13834 is a chymase inhibitor currently under Phase II investigation for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (AD), commonly known as eczema. Chymase is a chymotrypsin-like serin protease exclusively stored in secretory granules of mast cells and is thought to participate in allergic inflammatory diseases. Preclinical models have suggested that inhibition of chymase with SUN13834 may reduce the inflammation and pruritus associated with atopic dermatitis. |
